Mr. Chair;

I'm curious what everyone thought of his attitude? I thought he was very nice in trying to extend as to answer all the questions but the way he answered the questions seemed out there. Thoughts?

I yield.

Mr. Chairman,

There were several things I was looking for. First, character. Second, respect for the House. Third, knowledge of the law.

I think Mr. Cross passed the first test with flying colors. I am still mulling over the first two questions.

Mr. Chairman,

I do not support this nominee for a Supreme Court seat. I don't believe that his answers, while passable, were a true reflection of the person who would sit on the Supreme Court.

I yield.

Mr. Chair--

It is clear that this selection is yet another poor choice by the sitting administration and would jeopardize all the basic liberties that the founding fathers and previous court members have worked to hard to ensure.

As such, I cannot support the seating of Mr. Cross on the court.

I yield.

MR. Chairman,

I believe that Congressman Cross is more than capable of being a Supreme Court Justice. I just looked that the transcripts of the hearing, and his answers seemed fine to me. Could someone articulate their issues with the Justice-designate?

I yield.
