The Whitewright Tigers are the third rated high school team in 2A Texas. They are in a smaller school division and have a great shot at taking a state title. No small potatos in the Lone Star state. Number 43 is a man among boys. Here's a short video on a slam dunk.

By Herald Democrat

WHITESBORO — Matthew Smith pumped in 29 points to lead No. 4 Whitewright past Whitesboro, 61-53, in non-district action on Friday night.

Bolingbrook
The Raiders went down 3-0 to district rival Romeoville on Saturday, but quickly erased the deficit with a 10-0 run and went on to a 68-40 win, their fifth in a row.

Diamond Taylor scored six of his 19 points during the early run and Troy Snyder drained four consecutive shot attempts late in the first to push the Bolingbrook (10-4) lead to 20-8 at the end of the frame.

The Raiders probably could have turned their backs and shot from midcourt and still have connected as they shot at a 66 percent clip in the first half. They didn’t miss from inside the arc the entire first quarter and most of the second.

Anthony Greene (13 points, 12 rebounds) scored eight points in the second quarter to help Bolingbrook to a 38-23 halftime lead.

ESPN on Seth Evans:

January, 2009: Evans is tough fundamentally sound guard that is like a coach on the floor. He has great leadership skills and leads by example by playing hard every second he is on the floor. He is an excellent ball handler with passing skills to match. He is a pass first point guard but has range beyond the arc if he needs to stretch and defense and keep them honest.

2010 verbal commit Kameron Cerroni :

From MaxPrep -- 123108:

"Kameron Cerroni is leading the way for a strong Sussex Hamilton team this season. The 6-2 guard scored 38 points to lead Hamilton to a 79-68 win over Menominee Falls.

Cerroni had seven 3-pointers and 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Cerroni's dad, Andy, is the team's coach. Cerroni has now scored 1,044 points during his two-plus years of varsity competition, and is averaging 24.5 points per game this year for the 4-2 Chargers.

“We're 3-0 in the conference and we have a tough non-conference schedule,” Andy Cerroni said. “We're intending to keep getting better and hope to build depth and play some of our younger guys. We're progressing.”

That applies to his son, a junior, who has been leading the Hamilton scoring attack.

“He's worked hard,” Andy Cerroni said. “He's gotten stronger. He's still just a junior. He's been on the varsity since his freshman year. All the kids have done a tremendous job for us.”
